Suzanne Sherman Propp

Josh Margolis, Emily Mikesell and Peter Propp are the backing musicians on Play.  Peter and Josh were the co-producers of CD.  Josh was the recording engineer.

Josh Margolis

Josh Margolis began playing drums at the age of five under the tutelage of session drummer Kenny Aronoff (with John Mellencamp) in the family living room. Ten years of both drum and piano lessons followed. After attending Berklee School of Music, he went on to study percussion with Miles Davis' drummer Mino Cinelu and Kenwood Dennard of Sting's band. He has been performing in rock, jazz, and acoustic groups in New York City for the past fifteen years as a drummer, singer and multi-instrumentalist. He has also worked as a live television producer for Jonas Brothers, Anna Nalick, and Switchfoot amongst others. Josh has worked as a BMI composer for ABC News, Martha Stewart Living Television, and FOX Sports. Billboard Magazine and the New York Songwriter's Circle have lauded his songwriting skills. He currently teaches music production in New York City schools through the nonprofit CREATE organization, instructs a rock band class at the Manhattan JCC, and teaches privately. He lives in Boerum Hill with his wife Aimee Good and daughter Matilda, 6.

On "Play," Josh plays drums, guitar, bass and many keyboards.

Emily Mikesell

Emily Mikesell is an amazing singer, actor and violinist.

She attended Westport Public Schools with Suzanne Sherman Propp & Josh Margolis, as well as Colgate University, where she and Suzanne sang together in the Swinging 'Gates.

She has appeared in "Radio Gals", "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers", "Striking 12", "Oil City Symphony" and in a really great show the name of which I can't remember, but I believe was written by Mike Craver of the "Red Clay Ramblers".

On "Play," Emily sings backing vocals and plays a mean fiddle.

Peter Propp

In his day job, Peter Propp is a sales and marketing strategist for companies like Imaginatik.com, The Westport Public Library and IBM Software Group. In his rich fantasy life, he is the co-founder of For Good Music with wife Suzanne Sherman Propp, and the co-producer of Mrs. Propp’s new CD “Play.”

A native of Delmar, NY, Peter attended Kenyon College, where he was a radio DJ and an English major. In the late 80’s while working for media and marketing companies in Manhattan, Peter played bass guitar in a band called Dreamworld that performed original material at clubs including Kenny’s Castaways, Heartbreak and the immortal CBGBs.

On "Play," Peter plays acoustic and electric guitars.
